SUMMARY:Council Meeting (June 2022-Conference Call) UPDATED
DESCRIPTION:Scappoose Bay Watershed Council Presentation\nDid you miss this presentation and don’t want to miss out? Check out the video below: \n \nTonight\, the Scappoose Bay Watershed Council will be presenting a general overview of watershed function and look at two assessment tools that can be used to quantify the economical and ecological benefits of healthy trees\, soil\, and biodiversity within the watershed. One tool looks at tree canopy and the other tool looks at ecological function within the watershed. We would like to gauge interest in these tools to help us assess the role the Council might play rolling these tools out for the community’s benefit. The discussion will be framed around how we value and manage our green assets within the Scappoose Bay Watershed. \nNOTE: Typically\, the Council Board meets on the second Wednesday evening of every month. This meeting is scheduled from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Usual topics include updates on current projects and the nursery\, plus regular business requirements. Recently\, the SBWC Board of Directors chose to update this schedule. SBWC Board Meetings where business is conducted will be held every other month. A meeting still be held on the second Wednesdays that business meetings do not occur but those meetings will be reserved for education and engagement events and presentations. The public remains welcome at all meetings. View past meeting minutes and access the agenda and reports for the upcoming meeting. If you have questions prior to the call\, please email info@scappoosebay-wc.org.

If you would like to volunteer or have some questions please contact Emily Martin at ( 503) 298-5440. \n
