SUMMARY:2021 Project Tour
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our Project Tour on Saturday\, September 25 from 9:00 – 11:00 am. \nWe will tour two project sites – one completed just this summer and the other completed in 2019. \nThe first stop will be Brush Creek where we will see a culvert-to-bridge construction project\, as well as large wood placed in the stream. This project is on Weyerhaeuser property and is a good example of how timber owners can improve their roads and streams in conjunction with a logging activity. \nThe second site is on rural residential land along North Scappoose Creek. It showcases large wood structures anchored into the stream bank as well as bank stabilization and riparian revegetation. This project is a few years old\, so will be a great opportunity to see how a project changes over time. \nAfter the site visits\, all are welcome to join us at our Coordinator\, Dana’s house in Scappoose for some refreshments and discussion. \nWe will meet at the intersection of Scappoose Vernonia Hwy and Chapman Grange Rd at 9:00 am. \nPlease see the maps and agenda and project info for Brush Creek and North Scappoose Creek. \nRSVP online via Google or by leaving a message at our office phone 503-397-7904. \nWe look forward to seeing you there!
