DESCRIPTION:Join SBWC on Saturday\, March 2nd\, 10am-1pm for our volunteer work party at Veterans Park in Scappoose\, Oregon.\n\n\nThis work party will include moving mulch by wheelbarrow or buckets\, to spread around previously planted trees and shrubs.\nWe will also be daylighting/weeding around the trees and shrubs. By doing this\, it will help make the area look better but most importantly will help the plants we have put in thrive better! *Please read statement near the bottom for this part of our work party*\nVeterans Park is part of an ongoing restoration project between SBWC\, the City of Scappoose\, and in partnership with LCEP.\nPlease come prepared for rainy weather\, boots and raincoats are highly recommended! We will provide all needed tools\, gloves\, as well as water and snacks!\nMeet at the large covered area next to the playground.\n\n*At this volunteer session we will be utilizing clippers and sharper tools\, to be safe we ask that all children under 12 years old be supervised/assisted by an adult. \nPlease RSVP ahead so we can accurately accommodate for everyone that will be there!\nAlso feel free to contact us for any information on this volunteer work party at 503-397-7904. DESCRIPTION:Join the Scappoose Bay Watershed Council at the Scappoose Bay Marina while we work to take care of one of the most beautiful marinas in Columbia County! We will be weeding two flower beds\, removing noxious plants from the Scappoose Bay Marina Trails and removing trash from along the waterline! This event promises to be a fantastic opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy some fresh air and comradery with other members of the community! \nAfter a satisfying morning of work we’ll end with lunch and a relaxing kayak on the bay. \nPlease use this link to RSVP: https://forms.gle/UzLZQnZyg3ewDZYh8 \nPlease wear closed-toe shoes and long plants to avoid poison oak and the thorns on Himalayan Blackberry bushes.
