DESCRIPTION:Join SBWC on Saturday\, March 2nd\, 10am-1pm for our volunteer work party at Veterans Park in Scappoose\, Oregon.\n\n\nThis work party will include moving mulch by wheelbarrow or buckets\, to spread around previously planted trees and shrubs.\nWe will also be daylighting/weeding around the trees and shrubs. By doing this\, it will help make the area look better but most importantly will help the plants we have put in thrive better! *Please read statement near the bottom for this part of our work party*\nVeterans Park is part of an ongoing restoration project between SBWC\, the City of Scappoose\, and in partnership with LCEP.\nPlease come prepared for rainy weather\, boots and raincoats are highly recommended! We will provide all needed tools\, gloves\, as well as water and snacks!\nMeet at the large covered area next to the playground.\n\n*At this volunteer session we will be utilizing clippers and sharper tools\, to be safe we ask that all children under 12 years old be supervised/assisted by an adult. \nPlease RSVP ahead so we can accurately accommodate for everyone that will be there!\nAlso feel free to contact us for any information on this volunteer work party at 503-397-7904. DESCRIPTION:Scappoose Bay Watershed Council (SBWC) and Friends of Nob Hill Nature Park invite you to join the semi-annual volunteer work day on Saturday\, November 2\, from 1 to 3 PM. We need help to pull ivy and put in native plants at the lower park.\n\n\nNob Hill Nature Park is an oak woodland overlooking the Columbia River. The Friends need help to remove invasive English ivy and blackberries and put in new native plants donated by SBWC.\nDress for the weather\, including rain gear if needed. Please bring gloves\, tools\, water and snack items. This work party takes place rain or shine. Meet at kiosk across from city’s water treatment plant at 451 Plymouth Street\, in St Helens.
